Privacy Policy

diffvoid.com is a secure browser-based text comparison tool. We do not run ads, we do not use analytics, and we do not sell personal data. Your text never leaves your browser.

Summary

No trackers / analytics

We do not use third-party analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or advertising beacons.

No accounts

There is no login and no user profile.

Local processing only

Text is processed only by the page and, for normal comparisons, its same-origin in-browser Web Worker. Compared text is never sent to any server.

Optional local storage

Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser and never sent to a server.

What information we collect

We do not intentionally collect personal information (such as your name, email address, or precise location) through the diffvoid.com app itself. We also do not collect or store the text you compare.

Local device storage

The app stores your preferences locally in your browser using Local Storage. The following key is used:

  • diffvoidcom_theme - color theme preference ("dark" or "light")

This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time via your browser's site data settings.

Text processing

All text comparison is performed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The page may pass the left and right texts to a same-origin Web Worker, which is a separate browser execution context used to keep heavy work away from the interface thread. This is local inter-thread messaging, not a network request.

Your compared text is never uploaded to, stored on, or processed by any server. The worker returns a compact result containing row indexes and numeric change ranges rather than source text or generated HTML. The original text remains in the page only for display, selection, and copying.

Hosting/provider logs

diffvoid.com is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard server/edge request data (such as IP address, user-agent, request path, timestamps, and similar operational metadata) in order to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and operate the service.

We do not add trackers on top of that, and we do not use these logs for advertising or selling data.

The project is open source, and you can verify the behavior described above in:
